Titanium grade 6 rods and bars contain 5% aluminium and 2.5% tin, the rest being titanium. Tensile strength ranges between 750 and 860 MPa, while yield strength is around 690 MPa. It also has superior oxidation resistance and good mechanical stability within service temperatures of 400°C.
