Titanium grade 3 bars and rods contain 99.2% pure titanium and traces of iron and oxygen as alloying elements. This grade provides superior corrosion resistance in oxidizing environments and moderate strength relative to other commercially pure titanium grades. It possesses a tensile strength of about 620 MPa and a yield strength of about 450 MPa. Titanium grade 3 is also weldable and has good ductility and resistance to fatigue. Due to its high corrosion resistance, particularly against seawater and other chemicals, and reasonable mechanical properties, it is ideal for demanding applications in harsh environments.
