Hastelloy N Bars and Rods are primarily made up of Nickel (around 72%), along with notable amounts of Molybdenum (16%), Iron (6%), and trace elements of Chromium, Manganese, Silicon, and Carbon. This unique composition grants them remarkable resistance to both oxidizing and reducing environments, especially in molten salt reactors. Typical mechanical properties include a tensile strength ranging from 690 to 830 MPa, a yield strength of about 310 MPa, and an elongation of 30 to 40%. Hastelloy N is known for its excellent creep resistance, corrosion resistance, and thermal stability, making it a great fit for high-temperature, aggressive settings.
