Stainless Steel 1.4122, also referred to as X39CrMo17-1, is a martensitic stainless steel alloy that contains about 0.39% Carbon, 16-18% Chromium, 1% Molybdenum, along with small amounts of Manganese, Silicon, and Sulfur. This unique blend gives it excellent wear resistance, hardness, and corrosion resistance. On the mechanical side, it boasts high tensile strength (typically around 850–1000 MPa), good toughness, and moderate ductility. The steel can be heat-treated to boost its strength and hardness, making it perfect for applications that demand both durability and precision. These characteristics make 1.4122 square bars ideal for high-stress environments.
