6101 T6 aluminum bars and rods contain 98.9% aluminum, which is alloyed with 0.9–1.3% silicon, 0.4–0.7% iron, 0.8–1.2% magnesium, and traces of copper (0.1–0.2%) and manganese (0.1%). This composition is characterized by excellent corrosion resistance, great strength, and superior electrical conductivity. Mechanically, the alloy possesses tensile strength ranging approximately 290–320 MPa, yield strength around 240 MPa, and elongation between 10–12%. Furthermore, Aluminium 6101 T6 also has good workability and can be readily shaped into bars and rods and is therefore very versatile for multiple industrial uses.
