Copper C10400 is commercially pure, unalloyed copper with approximately 99.95% copper (Cu), traces of oxygen and other elements (less than 0.05%) including iron. This alloy has superior electrical and thermal conductivity, as well as resistance to corrosion. C10400 copper possesses good ductility and formability and is, therefore, well-suited for machining, welding, and fabrication. The mechanical properties are tensile strength: 210–250 MPa, yield strength: 50–80 MPa, and elongation: 30–45%. These characteristics make Copper C10400 well suited to rigorous electrical, mechanical, and heat-transfer applications.
