Specialists in specialty alloys, Kanish Metals produces precision-forged components from Alloy 20 that conform to global quality standards and are customized to fit customer specifications. Kanish Metals operates in industries like chemical processing, pharmaceutical, food, and marine, where they need to resist aggressive media. With sophisticated forging plants, stringent quality control, and timely delivery, Kanish Metals has built a solid reputation for supplying long-lasting and reliable Alloy 20 forged parts.
Alloy 20 forgings consist of a nickel-chromium-iron base with copper and molybdenum additions, which are specifically developed to withstand sulfuric acid and other aggressive chemicals. The composition of the alloy is 32–38% nickel, 19–21% chromium, 2–3% molybdenum, and 3–4% copper. It has excellent corrosion resistance, particularly against acids, while possessing good mechanical properties. Average tensile strength is 551–751 MPa, with yield strength approximately 241 MPa and good elongation. Alloy 20 is capable of hot forging and cold working, with its weldability and formability qualifying it for most chemical process equipment.

Alloy 20 forgings are extensively applied in chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and food processing sectors because they possess superior resistance to sulfuric acid, chlorides, and other aggressive materials. Typical uses include forged fittings, valves, pump components, flanges, and reactor parts subject to corrosive conditions. In food and pharmaceutical industries, Alloy 20 is utilized for its contaminant resistance and simplicity of cleaning. It also comes in handy in marine environments as well as heat exchangers when the need for high strength and corrosion resistance is needed. Its usability and durability make it suitable for demanding service applications.
