Stainless Steel 430 Rectangular Bars are ferritic stainless steel alloys primarily made up of Chromium (16–18%) and low carbon content, with minimal Nickel. This composition provides them with impressive resistance to oxidation and corrosion in mildly corrosive settings. The bars exhibit moderate tensile strength (approximately 450–600 MPa), good formability, and magnetic characteristics. While they aren’t ideal for extreme conditions, SS 430 boasts decent thermal conductivity and stress resistance. Although they can’t be hardened through heat treatment, they can be cold worked to enhance strength.
