Kanish Metals is a prominent Dubai, UAE-based manufacturer and supplier of Invar Bars and Rods providing high-performance solutions to industries demanding superior dimensional stability. Precise manufacturing and reliable quality are Kanish Metals’ hallmarks as it supplies Invar products meeting the rigorous international standards. Invar, a nickel iron alloy, is known for its extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion, thereby making it suitable for use in applications where minimal size change as a result of temperature variation is important. With an emphasis on prompt delivery, customer-specific solutions, and market-competitive pricing, Kanish Metals caters to customers in aerospace, electronics, cryogenics, and precision engineering segments.
Invar is a nickel-iron alloy that contains 36% nickel and 64% iron. Its most notable attribute is a very low coefficient of thermal expansion, particularly between -100°C and 260°C. The alloy possesses a tensile strength of approximately 490 MPa, yield strength of about 275 MPa, and elongation of approximately 35%, and has a Brinell hardness of approximately 130 HB. Invar also offers good toughness, ductility, and machinability, as well as non-magneticity in the annealed condition. These characteristics render it ideal for high-accuracy applications that demand thermal stability and low distortion.

Yes, for Invar bar welding, specialized consumables like Invar welding rods, Invar electrodes, or Ni-based filler metals such as ERNi-1 or ERNiCrMo-3 are commonly used to ensure optimal bonding and minimize thermal expansion issues.
Yes, Invar bar and rod can be welded, typically using TIG or MIG welding techniques. However, it requires careful control of heat to avoid distortion due to its low expansion properties.
Invar rods, primarily composed of iron and nickel, are generally resistant to galvanic corrosion. However, when paired with more reactive metals, they may experience corrosion if exposed to electrolyte solutions.
Invar Rods and Bars are universally employed in applications where high dimensional accuracy is demanded in spite of changes in temperature. Some common uses include aerospace tooling, cryogenic parts, laboratory instruments, precision instruments, measuring instruments, optical systems, and electronic components. The material is also employed in the production of jigs, molds, and gauges, where close tolerances have to be maintained. Invar’s thermal stability makes it a must. It is used in LNG storage and transport systems, shadow masks in televisions, and laser systems. Its high and low-temperature performance guarantees dependability in demanding, temperature-sensitive applications.
