T15 High Speed Steel contains approximately 1.6% carbon, 12% tungsten, 5% cobalt, 4% chromium, and 1% vanadium. Its high cobalt and tungsten content achieves superior hot hardness and wear resistance, enabling T15 to retain cutting ability above 650°C temperatures. T15 attains hardness of 66–68 HRC after heat treatment and possesses superior strength and toughness, particularly in machining hard materials and high-speed cutting operations. It also has the ability to work effectively in dry cutting conditions where thermal endurance and stability of the edge are needed.
