What is Beryllium Copper C17500 Bars and Rods?

Beryllium Copper C17500, often referred to as Alloy 3, consists of about 0.4–0.7% Beryllium and 1.4–2.2% Cobalt, with Copper making up the rest. This alloy strikes a great balance between strength and conductivity. After aging, it can achieve tensile strengths of up to 140 ksi (965 MPa) while maintaining electrical conductivity in the range of 45–60% IACS. It also boasts excellent fatigue strength, thermal conductivity, and resistance to stress relaxation and corrosion. The cobalt content in C17500 enhances its performance in high-temperature and high-load situations, making it ideal for demanding thermal and electrical applications.
